Profinet Gateway IRT module and Siemens PLCS7 version compatibility

Hello,
I am using RevPi Core 3 with Profinet Gateway IRT module connecting with Siemens PLC. When I configured Profinet, it is unable to communicate with PLC S7 version 2.3. And then I upgrade PLC S7 version to version 2.6, and it's suddenly work with the same configuration.

I have tried to find information about this, but not found. My concern do you have any experience on this? And what is the compatible PLC S7 version? So I can check with my other systems compatibility.

can you please share the following information in order to investigate further?

serial of the device
hardware revision
firmware version
version of the GSD file

Hi Supot,

the serial and the hardware revision can be found at the front next to the data matrix code at the front of your module. The first row is the product number, followed by serial and hardware revision. To get the running firmware version please connect the profinet gateway to your network / computer, open a webbrowser and enter the ip of the gateway as address. The default username is Admin and the password is 1701. For the GSD file please have a look at the file you used within your TIA project for the gateway.

I have got some information
1. serial: 100074
2. hardware reversion: 1.2
3. firmware: I use as default. I do not do any update since received device.
4. GSD: GSDML-V2.31-KUNBUS-GW-20160413-145400

Hi Supot,

thanks for the infos. The 100074 is our product number, the serial is located in the line below. I'll check with my colleauges from engineering if there are any known problems / restrictions regarding older s7 versions.

What CPU generation and specific model are you using?

Thank you for your reply. The serial number should be 5898. And the model should be KUNBUS Gateway Profinet IRT (https://www.kunbus.com/profinet-irt-gateway-module.html). And how can I get the CPU generation information.

I meant the generation and model of your S7 CPU (300/400/1200/1500/... and specific model).
