RevPi Core 3 with ET 200SP - Tia Portal - Profibus

Post by m.ambagtsheer »

Hello,

Is it possible to connect the RevPi Core 3 with a RevPi Gateway Profibus to an ET 200SP? I am working in Tia Portal V15. I configured the RevPi Core 3 and RevPi Gateway Profibus in PiCtory and succeeded. In Tia Portal is the ET 200SP (6ES7 510-1DJ01-0AB0) with attached a Profibus CM DP (6ES7 545-5DA00-0AB0) and a server module (6ES7 193 -6PA00-0AA0) configured. The GSD file of the RevPi Gateway Profibus has also been placed in Tia Portal . I have already tried everything with how the Profibus connection works normally in Tia Portal. I saw something about RevPi7, but this doesn't seem to work for a Profibus connection.
Hopefully you can help me further.

Thanks in advance

Hi m.ambagtsheer, please check the output of "piTest -d". If errors are shown here:
  • check the PiCtory configuration (again)
  • save it via File -> Save as default configuration
  • perform a driver reset via Tools -> Reset Driver
What do the LEDs on the front side of the devices show?
To the PROFIBUS interface - please check the settings of the DIP switches of the PROFIBUS gateway.
Here you set the station address. Is this already used on the fieldbus?
Does it match the configured address in the TIA Portal?
Have you done the module configuration in TIA Portal? If not, then just look in the manual, there are some examples.

RevPi7 is based on the PROFINET fieldbus and some other conditions.

Hi Dirk,

Thank you for the quick response!

When I run the "piTest -d", there are no errors. The LEDs on the RevPi Core 3 light the power green and on the gateway the power lights up green and the offline LED flashes red. I read hereviewtopic.php?f=6&t=2553&hilit=gateway+offline+led+red that Module state under Gateway_PROFIBUS> Module state = 0x00. So I think here's the problem?
The gateway has Profibus address 3 (DIP switch 0-3) and this matches the configuration address in Tia Portal. I have done the module configuration in Tia Portal, but because of the offline LED flashing red, I think that maybe not quite right?

Please try the address reset mentioned in the gateways documentation. This might help.
